ABOUT ME

I am 24 years old and for the last thirteen years I have been a burn survivor. My Aunt, her boyfriend and her brother thought it was funny to put me in a tub of hot water.

I was pretty close to death when my Aunt's boyfriend got scared and decided to take me to the hospital. I was transferred to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where I remained there for a week in a coma.

I was than air lifted to St. Christopher's Hospital for children. I remained there fighting for my life. I was then transferred to a rehab hospital called children seashore house. I stayed there until I was able to walk again.

But thanks to the wonderful people I met through my burns I was to over come them and not let them take over my life. Even though I may get down in the dumps. I still try not to have the burns take over my life.

It's understandable if you need more professional help, however my goal is to start the process of overcoming your burns; overcoming meaning to learn how to live with your burns.
