EVENTS The
United States Burn Support Organization will be hosting Support Groups in and
around the Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware areas for Burn Survivors and
their families to attend. If you have any questions regarding the Support Groups,

FDNY & Phillies
On
August 27th 2008, the CEO & Representative for Burns, Brandon
C. Jones-McGeer had the honor to officially host the members of
the FDNY of Engine 65 for their first visit to the City of Brotherly
Love. While here attending a baseball game, the members took part
in a sponsorship based Cheese Steak dinner provided by the Geno's
Steak House of Philadelphia, Pa.
The
US Burn Support Organization, sincerely thanks the Geno's Steak
House of South Philadelphia, Pa for hosting our friends from New
York City to help kick off our fifth year celebration! We also wish
to thank the Philadelphia Phillies for hosting and having us at
the Baseball Game on August 27th.

Burn Camp
Brandon
C. Jones-McGeer, CEO & Representative for Burns, and Mr. Joseph
Santaniello, Driver Assisted had the honor to attend the 20th Anniversary
of the Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp in Virginia. We were happy the camp
allowed us to attend and take part in celebrating their many years
in the Burn Camp field! Thanks, Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp!

Republic
of Korea
On
August 28th 2008 Brandon C. Jones-McGeer, CEO & Representative
for Burns, had the honor to invite and meet with a special guest
from the Republic of Korea. Mr. Qsung's visit lasted 3 weeks, with
tours in Philadelphia, City of Brotherly Love, and all Historic
sites in the city were visited.

Fire House Magazine Expo
CEO
Brandon C. Jones-McGeer and Secretary Ms. Tanisha D. Carter were
invited and attended the 25th Anniversary of the Fire House Magazine
Expo in Baltimore, MD at the Baltimore Convention Center. We attended
three of the classes and thought they were all great!

UN Meeting
CEO-HCB
attended a series of meetings at the UN to further the goals on
the UN and the International Burn Community. Accompanying was Ms.
Eunice Trevor- Special Advisor for International Affairs. All meetings
on July 17th were successful!

Philadelphia International Bike Championship
CEO-HCB
Brandon C. Jones-McGeer represented the International Burn Community
at the Philadelphia International Bike Championship on the Art Museum
Circle. The International Burn Support Organization was invited
by the Commerce Bank and a team Manager. All was good and a 24 year
old from Denmark won the Triple Crown Race. Our presence was important
because there were two bikers who were burned when they're young.
Their story will be in the next newsletter of the US Burn Support
Organization.

Welcome
to our new Chairman of the Board, Mr. Richard "Rick" Eiselen,
of Eiselen Bakery.

Brandon Jones-McGeer and Ms. Carter represented the burn community
while at the event. The US Burn Support was giving out Certificates
to those special children who knew about Fire Prevention.


Special
Event of the Entry into Force of the UN Convention on The Rights
of Persons with Disabilities and Optional Protocol
This
is a truly good day (May 12th) for the International Burn Community.
In this partnership as human beings, the convention gives us to
the ability to be accepted as one and treated like a person and
not as someone who is different! The Special event was attended
by High Commissioner for Burns, Brandon C. Jones-McGeer and Ms.
Thorne Maxwell UN Liaison.

Brandon C. Jones-McGeer met briefly with the First Lady of Panama
On
April 26th CEO Brandon C. Jones-McGeer presented a letter of appreciation
to the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Police Association. Pictured

Police Commissioner), and Brandon Jones-McGeer.

CEO Brandon C. Jones-McGeer had the honor to represent the United
States Burn Support Organization and the International Burn Support
Organization at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Conshohocken, PA.
The
CEO and Ms. Tanisha Carter had the honor to represent the US Burn
Support Organization at a fundraiser in Philadelphia, PA on March
22, 2008. The event was successful, and as a result we are proud
to announce a mutual aid agreement with the HEAL with Scars Foundation!
On
Monday March 24, 2008- CEO Brandon C. Jones-McGeer represented the
International Burn Community at the Human Rights Committee Meeting
at the United Nations. The results look promising. Mr. Jones-McGeer
has been working with the UN to ensure the rights and dignity of
all Burn Survivors worldwide.

The
US Burn Support Organization had the honor of taking part in the
official Fire Prevention Week 2007. The events attended by the CEO
and Executive Members, included Conshohocken Fire Program, the Upper
Dublin Fire Safety Seminar, Philadelphia Fire Department Muster
'07, and school events around the area.
The
US Burn Support Organization had the honor to take part in a number
of Thanksgiving Day Parades and wish to thank the communities for
hosting us and supporting our much needed programs.
